Rising Star ($1,000 Scholarship):

Nominations were made by the respective faculty of the students.  The nominations were anonymized, and the nominees were ranked by the Board of Directors.  Note: President Rodney Fisher, President-Elect Jeanifeer Lara, and Vice President Rachel Whatley recused themselves from this award because they all had students who were nominated.  Vice President-Elect Kate Verdun and Secretary/Treasurer-Elect Sebastian Medina voted in their place.

Scholarship Winners ($500 Each):

All applicants wrote a 500-word essay on “When you become TSRT President, what will you advocate for, and what will you implement?”  Fourteen applications were submitted.  The essays were anonymized and ranked by the Board of Directors.  Note: President Rodney Fisher, President-Elect Jeanifeer Lara, and Vice President Rachel Whatley recused themselves from this award because they all had students who were nominated.  Vice President-Elect Kate Verdun and Secretary/Treasurer-Elect Sebastian Medina voted in their place.
