The Dr. James Johnston Administrator’s Award is designed to recognize the leaders of our profession who continue to forge pathways of progression in medical imaging and radiologic sciences. Dr. James Johnston represents a pioneer to greater heights. Specifically, his progressive leadership has extended beyond the boundaries of the classroom, clinic, and professional organization. As a medical imaging leader, Dr. Johnston progressed to be named as the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Midwestern State University. His extensive career achievements, demonstration of service on every level of the profession as well as an extraordinary investment to be reflected in the prestige of the Administrator’s Award. This award was implemented at the 87th Annual Meeting and Educational Symposium in 2019.

Qualifications

1. Currently employed as an administrator/executive/manager (not limited to medical imaging or radiologic service lines)

2. Must be credentialed in a medical imaging or radiologic science by a recognized credentialing agency

3. Demonstrate significant contributions to the medical imaging / radiologic science profession,

4. Receive at least one (1) letter of recommendation endorsing by a manager, coworker, or direct report (pdf. / Word doc. only) must be submitted.)

5. Must be nominated by a TXSRT member
