TSRT Leadership Position Statements

Jose Rodriguez- Vice President Candidate

Position Statement:
I can’t express how impressed I am with the direction the TSRT has chosen.  The members of the Board and elected officers have truly dedicated themselves to advocating for the Imaging Professionals in the great state of Texas.  It is time for me to step up and follow in their footsteps to represent each of you.
I assure you as your future Vice-President, if elected, that I will fight to prevent encroachment on our profession and advocate to the best of my ability for every technologist in Texas.

Jennifer Otrezov- Secretary/Treasurer Candidate

Position Statement:
My name is Jennifer Otrezov R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT), I currently work at the wonderful Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center as a CT Technologist. I have had the pleasure of representing the Texas Society of Radiologic Technologists for the past two years as Student Intern. Along the way I have gained valuable knowledge about our Society and feel it has prepped me for this position. I vow to be diligent and never stop striving to make TSRT greater than before. The passion I have for TSRT and our profession is strong so please consider me for the Secretary/Treasurer position.

S. Jeanifeer Lara- President Elect Candidate

Position Statement:
The Texas Society of Radiologic Technologists is the premier organization and
voice for all diagnostic imaging professionals in the state of Texas. TSRT has been committed as an advocate to ensure that technologists have proper representation in legislative matters, as a promoter of unity as a society, and as an educator, sharing the latest researched information with all members and non-members of the professional imaging field.
I was introduced to TSRT as a radiography student and have been an active member of TSRT for the last ten years. During this time, I have had the opportunity to participate in many facets of the society:
Vice-president 2018, the education alliance, the nomination committee, and as a presenter at the annual meeting on multiple occasions.
My experience with TSRT has given me an opportunity to witness the elevation of our society, and the committed and dedicated leadership that continues to develop and unite Texas into a stronger force.
I am honored to be a nominated to serve with the TSRT leadership team.  Looking towards the future, as a leader of the community, I will continue the efforts to engage the community of imaging professionals, and to unite and embrace the importance of growing together as a society. As we face new legislative challenges, we must rely on our strengths, commitment, and passion for the preservation of our esteemed society.

Sincerely,
S. Jeanifeer Lara MSRS, RT (R) (MR) (ARRT)
