UPDATE (03/16/2021):
Entries have closed for all contests except the Student Bee. Program directors or the instructor responsible should forward to the Vice President the names of your school’s three champions as soon as possible, but no later than April 1st. Please forward the names to Vice.President@txsrt.org. Any questions can also be emailed to this address.
The Board of Directors want to thank all students participating in this year’s contests, the instructors mentoring them and the volunteer judges!
An agenda for April 9th will be posted soon. The morning will have student contests and the afternoon will have an Educator’s Alliance meeting and CEs for educators.
UPDATE (02/25/2021):
Because of the winter storm Texas experienced in February, TSRT has decided to extend the deadline for entries for the essay contest, the poster contest, and the t-shirt contest until March 15th. We are doing this to ensure students who have been faced with issues such as power and water loss issues can have the time to compete.
The iLEAD competition deadline is still March 1st. However, the student only needs to fill out the entry form and attach a Word doc with their presentation title, short outline, objectives and the required letter from the program director for the March 1st deadline. The presentation will be recorded during the month of March and we will coordinate this with the individual students. Students do not need to have the presentation finished on March 1st to enter.
The Student Bee will be streamed live this year. Each program which will participate will need to select their three (3) student champions to represent their school, and email me their names and contact information by April 1st. The students will compete live on the morning of April 9th. Participating schools will need to have the ability to have the students together and Zooming in with the link we will provide. It would be a great help to TSRT if your school will be participating, to please let me know ASAP, so we can plan for the number of connections we will need. You do not have to send in your list of champions until April 1st. You can contact us at Vice.President@txsrt.org
Because of the pandemic, the Board of Directors voted to split the 91st Annual Meeting into two separate events. The student events will all be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 via Zoom. You will be able to find more information here as we are closer to the date. We are pleased to announce that all the student events, including iLEAD for CE credits and the popular Student BEE, will be held this year! Below you will find all the rules and entry forms.
