Education Instructor – Radiology

About Us:

Job Summary:

Plans, designs, implements, coordinates and evaluates educational Programs and Activities for designated Departments based upon identified needs for the Radiography Program.  Supervises and evaluates Students in Clinical and Didactic Education.  Conducts Student performance evaluations to include evaluates Students for competency.  Provides Student guidance and Academic counseling as needed.  Teaches in area of expertise.  Prepares course syllabi, course outlines and lesson plans. Assigns and prepares clinical Education rotation schedules.  Maintains accurate Student records.  Conducts Orientation for new Students.  Participates on various inter/intradepartmental Committees.  Maintains annual mandatory JCAHO continuing education and CPR recertification’s as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Specialized Training/Licensure:  Masters and Bachelor’s Degree required; Holds current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification  and registration in Radiography:  Holds current Licensures by Texas Medical Board (MRT).

Work Experience:  Document two (2) years of full time experience in Radiography.

Special Requirements:

One (1) year as a Joint Review Committee of Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) approved Instructor preferred.  Advanced Certification Training in Cat Scan and/or MRI.

Member of American Society of Radiologic Technologist (ASRT) and/or Texas State Radiologic Technology (TSRT); American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) registration in one advanced Certification preferred.
